KATHMANDU: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Nepal Police shot himself in Achham district on Thursday.
According to the District Police Office, Achham, Kisan Bahadur Chand shot himself with his service revolver, sustaining an injury to his upper chest.
“The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at Bhairabsthan Police Station, where the ASI was stationed,” said DSP Ishwari Prasad Bhandari, chief of the District Police Office, Achham. “He is currently undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Medical College.”
