KATHMANDU: A fire broke out at the central warehouse of the Armed Police Force (APF) on Monday afternoon.
According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, the joint spokesperson for APF, the warehouse, situated on the premises of the Nepal APF Hospital, caught fire at around 4:45 pm. “An electrical short circuit likely caused the fire. But we cannot confirm it for certain at this moment,” Thapa stated.
Four fire engines are involved in efforts to bring the fire under control.
“We had been storing logistics at this Satungal-based warehouse as our main warehouse in Halchowk had run out of space. Logistics for all APF units are disbursed from these warehouses,” Thapa added.
