APF grants special promotion to 15 athletes

KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force (APF) has granted special promotions to 15 sports persons in its rank on the occasion of the 24th Armed Police Force Day.

Among those promoted, football player Bhagawati Thapa has been promoted to Senior Head Constable, while Phulmati Rana and Gopichand Parki of athletics have been promoted to Head Constable.

Similarly, Hira KC (Volleyball), Ashok Khaling (Wushu), Kabita Thapa (Wushu), Bandana Rai (Handball), Anita KC (Football), Gita Rana (Football), Mohammad Shekhualam (Karate), Sandip Jora (Cricket), Sanjay Rai (Karate), Saru Limbu (Football), Rabina Chaudhary (Kabaddi) and Kabita Bhatta (Volleyball) have been promoted from Constable to Assistant Head Constable.
