
KATHMANDU: The body of Rohit Rana, who had gone missing in the Trishuli River following a motorcycle accident near the No. 3 bridge in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5, Chitwan, has been recovered by the Armed Police Force (APF) divers on Sunday.
The accident occurred at around 11:40 am on February 14 when a motorcycle (Ba 06-02 Pa 9204) heading towards Muglin from Narayanghat met with the accident.
“The APF divers had been continuously conducting search operations to locate Rana. On Sunday morning, a team of APF divers led by Inspector Bhul Bahadur Thapa from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Disaster Management Training School, Kurintar, recovered his body at 9:25 am and retrieved it from the river,” DSP Shialendra Thapa, the joint spokesperson of the APF, said.
Rana, who was serving in the Indian Army, was traveling from his home in Chitwan to Kathmandu at the time of the accident, according to family members.
