KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office (KVCIO) of Nepal Police has arrested Actor Anmol KC.
KC was arrested from Sanga area of Bhaktapur at around 5 pm, SP Rabindra Regmi, the spokesperson for the KVCIO, told Himal Press.
The police arrested KC after they received a complaint that KC had refused to act in the movie ‘Ravayan’ after receiving the signing amount. “We had invited KC to the office to hold a discussion with the complainants. Since he didn’t comply, we arrested him after getting an arrest warrant from the court,” Regmi added.
‘Ravayan’ is being produced by Sudarshan Thapa Production Pvt Ltd. The production team has claimed that it has already invested more than Rs 10 million in the project.
According to the police, the production team has stated in the complaint that KC has received Rs 1 million as a signing amount.
