‘Anjila’ grosses Rs 75 million, running in fifth week

KATHMANDU: The film Anjila, a biopic on Nepali women’s national football team captain Anjila Tumpapo Subba, has grossed Rs 75 million at the box office.

Released on March 12, the film is running successfully in theaters in its fifth week, according to the production team. The film has secured around 50 shows across the country for the fifth week.

Directed by Milan Chams, the film portrays Anjila’s journey from childhood to her struggles and successes in professional football. Anjila herself plays the lead role in the film, which also features Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, Sirjana Subba, Prem Kumar Shrestha, Sunil Thapa, Maotse Gurung, Sumin Gurung and Buddhi Tamang.
