KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has published a vacancy notice for the position of Head Coach for the men’s national team.
Issuing a notice on Monday, ANFA stated that a pro license holder with 5-10 years of coaching experience, preferably at the senior or professional level, with a proven track record of success, can apply for the position.
The candidate should have an in-depth understanding of international football, including tactics, training methods, and player management; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate players; and familiarity with Nepal’s football culture with a willingness to adapt to the local environment.
According to ANFA, key responsibilities include team management, tactical planning, player development and selection, and performance analysis, among others.
An executive meeting of ANFA held on August 27 decided against renewing the contract of Head Coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese who took the reins of the national team on on March 1 last year. Nepal played 16 matches under Annese, winning four, drawing three, and losing 10.
