ANFA decides to provide Rs 800,000 to family of deceased footballers

KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to provide Rs 800,000 as relief to the families of six players who died in a landslide in Sisneri of Makwanpur.

Aditya Balampaki, Bikal Regmi, Priyansh Archarya, Dibash Baniya, Anupam Ghalan, and Saimon Yonjan were buried in a landslide at a footbal academy in Sisneri being operated by Makwanpur district chapter of ANFA.

An emergency meeting of the ANFA Executive Committee held on Sunday decided to provide this amount as relief to the families of the deceased. The meeting also decided to establish an endowment fund of Rs 200,000 in the name of each deceased player in the location chosen by their families.

ANFA has also formed a three-member investigation committee led by Executive Committee member Bikash Narayan Shrestha to collect details about the incident and submit a report within one month.
