KATHMANDU: Newly appointed ambassadors to four different countries were sworn in on Sunday.
President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Rita Dhital (Islamic Republic of Pakistan), Ramesh Chandra Poudyal (Qatar), Prof Dhan Prasad Pandit (Israel), and Prof Dr Krishna Prasad Oli (People’s Republic of China) at a ceremony organized at the Office of the President.
High-ranking government officials were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, President Paudel has appointed ambassadors to six additional countries. On the recommendation of the Council of Ministers and in accordance with the Constitution of Nepal, President Poudel appointed Dr Shail Rupakheti as ambassador to Germany, Jung Bahadur Chauhan to the Russian Federation, Chandra Kumar Ghimire to the United Kingdom and Dr Naresh Bikram Dhakal to Saudi Arabia.
