Ambassadors of Pakistan, South Korea submit their credentials

KATHMANDU: The ambassadors of Pakistan and South Korea submitted their letters of credence to President Ram Chandra Poudel on Monday.

Ambassador Abrar Hussain Hashmi from Pakistan and Ambassador Tae-Young Park from South Korea presented their credentials in separate ceremonies held at the Office of the President on Monday. The ambassadors were escorted to the Office of the President in separate horse-drawn carriages from the premises of Hotel Radisson in Lazimpat.

Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud and high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present in the ceremonies.

This marks the first time President Poudel has received letters of credence from ambassadors since assuming office on March 13.

After receiving Abrar’s credentials, President Poudel discussed Nepal-Pakistan relations and the SAARC. Likewise, President Poudel also discussed Nepal-Korea relations and the employment opportunities for Nepalis in Korea with the South Korean ambassador.
