KATHMANDU: Aman Maharjan from Lalitpur has won a Ncell brand deal worth Rs 1 million for a year after securing the first position in the ‘League of Creators’ competition organized by Ncell in partnership with Uptrendly.
According to a statement issued by Ncell, Prabha Shrestha aka Mademoiselle Creator from Kathmandu came in the second position and secured a brand deal of Rs 500,000, while Manish Ruchel from Baglung and Prashant Pandey from Butwal came third and fourth, receiving brand deals worth Rs 250,000 and Rs 100,000, respectively.
The winners were awarded at the Grand Finale held in Kathmandu last Friday.
Ncell launched the competition to empower digital storytellers across the country. Out of the entries received from across the country, the top 50 creators were selected by five mentors—Sanjog Koirala, Pratima Adhikari, Mr Foodie Nepal, Parakram Rana and Ekta Tandukar.
“This competition was organised with the objective of identifying and empowering emerging digital content creators from various parts of the country. I am confident that the brand deal with Ncell will inspire the winners to further hone their content creation journey,” said Umair Mohsin, Chief Commercial Officer of Ncell.
The winners were selected by a jury that included the US Embassy’s Mike Harker, film director Simosh Sunuwar, Ncell’s Punam Singh and Uptrendly CEO Monayac Karki.
