All parties eager to forge electoral alliance with NC: Nidhi

JANAKPURDHAM: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Bimalendra Nidhi has claimed that all political parties are eager to forge an alliance with the Nepali Congress for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

Addressing a party program at Laxminiya of Dhanusha on Thursday, Nidhi claimed that the NC has always provided a way out whenever the country faced crises. “Because of this, all parties are keen to align with the NC in the upcoming elections,” he added.

Nidhi claimed that the CPN-UML, Madhesh-based parties, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are all seeking to form alliances with the NC.

Calling on party leaders and cadres to set aside past differences, he urged them to move forward together into the elections. “We need to end factionalism within the party and promote reconciliation among leaders before going for the elections,” Nidhi said.

Stating that the NC is the party that works for people’s rights and development, Nidhi urged leaders and cadres affiliated with other parties to join the NC.
