All 14 clubs register with ANFA for ‘A’ Division League

KATHMANDU: All fourteen ‘A’ Division clubs have registered with the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) for the new season. ANFA had given the ‘A’ Division sides until Friday for registration.

Three clubs – Manang Marshyangdi Club, Khumaltar Youth Club and Satdobato Youth Club – registered with ANFA on Friday.

Church Boys United, Tribhuvan Army Club, Machhindra Football Club, Jawlakhel Youth Club, Friends Club, Himalayan Sherpa Club, Three Star Club, Sankata Club, New Road Team, Nepal APF Club and Nepal Police Club registered on Thursday, according to ANFA sources.

ANFA is providing ‘A’ Division sides Rs 3.25 million to prepare for the league. Of the pledged amount, ANFA will release Rs 1.5 million each to the clubs in the first installment.

The Martyrs Memorial ‘A’ Division National League is beginning on March 3. The matches will be played in the double round-robin format.
