All 10 victims of Kapilvastu bus accident identified

LUMBINI: All 10 people who died in a bus accident in Kapilvastu district on Wednesday night have been identified.

Seven men and three women died when a passenger bus coming to Kathmandu from Mahendranagar met with an accident near Surahi River bridge along East-West Highway in Shivaraj Municipality-1 of Kapilvastu. The bus veered off the road and fell some 200 meters blow into the river.

According to District Police Office, Kapilvastu, the deceased have been identified as Narayan Bahadur Bhandari (46) of Aurahi-3 of Rautahat, Arjun Kumar Yogi (41) of Salyan, Shaqeel Musalman of Uttar Pradesh, India, Rahul Ram Kami (27) of Bhimdatta-1 of Kanchanpur, Umesh Bhandari (24) of Bhimdatta-4 Kanchanpur, Sanju Thapa of Bhimdatta-16 of Kanchanpur, Khageshwari Khati of Bhimdatta in Kanchanpur, Bimala Devi Bhatta Punarbas in Kanchanpur, Sudip Bhatta of Bhimdutta-2 and Bishan Datta Bhattta of Bhimdatta-9 of Kanchanpur.

Thirty others were injured in the accident. They are receiving treatment at different hospitals in Butwal and Kapilvastu.
