KATHMANDU: The 66th meeting of the Central Monitoring and Evaluation Committee on Sunday directed the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to prepare a work plan within three days for the effective management of lumpy skin vaccination of cattle.
Chaired by Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal, the meeting also decided that the Ministry of Health and Population will launch an awareness campaign against dengue in coordination with local units. Likewise, the meeting decided to enhance market monitoring through effective data collection, the use of technology, and the mobilization of human resources under the joint collaboration of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies.
Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies have been directed to ensure food availability in the market with the involvement of the private sector and using the private sector’s godowns for food storage if needed.
The meeting was attended by Secretaries from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Home Ministry, the National Planning Commission, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, the National Vigilance Center, the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies.
