KATHMANDU: Chief of the Army Staff General Ashok Raj Sigdel left for the United Kingdom on Monday on an official visit.
Sigdel is visiting the United Kingdom from October 5 to 11 at the invitation of the British Army Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Roland Vincent Walker.
Lieutenant General Pradip Jung KC saw off General Sigdel at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday.
According to the Nepali Army’s Directorate of Public Relations and Information, the visit is expected to strengthen further the longstanding military ties between Nepal and the United Kingdom.
