Global IME AGM okays proposal to distribute 10% dividend

KATHMANDU: The 20th Annual General Meeting of Global IME Bank Ltd, held in Kathmandu on Friday, unanimously approved a proposal to distribute a 10% dividend to the bank’s shareholders from the profit earned in fiscal year 2025/26.

According to a statement issued by the bank, the dividend comprises a 4% bonus share and a 6% cash dividend, including tax.

The AGM also approved the annual report and integrated financial statements presented by the bank’s Chairperson Chandra Prasad Dhakal on behalf of the Board of Directors.

During the fiscal year, the bank posted a net profit of Rs 6.04 billion, an increase of 15.90% compared to the previous fiscal year. Likewise, the bank’s operating profit stood at Rs 9.60 billion. Following the distribution of the approved bonus shares, the bank’s paid-up capital has reached Rs 39.686 billion.

Addressing the AGM, Chair Dhakal expressed gratitude to shareholders for their continued trust and support. He said the bank had successfully completed two decades of its operations with the support and cooperation of its customers, shareholders, regulatory bodies and well-wishers.

The AGM also authorized the Board of Directors to amend the bank’s memorandum and articles of association as necessary and approved the appointment of an auditor for the upcoming fiscal year.
