KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that the party can recover from the current setback if it is strengthened and moves forward with unity.
Addressing the oath-taking ceremony for newly nominated Central Committee members at the party office in Chyasal on Friday, Oli said a party pursuing the great goal of national prosperity could face setbacks at times.
“The UML can rise far above its current setback by strengthening the party and moving forward,” he added.
Oli said forces opposed to the country’s development efforts had attempted to prevent the UML from advancing its development agenda. “Although the country experienced a reversal and the party suffered a setback, I am confident that the UML can rise again from where it has fallen and move further ahead than before if it avoids getting bogged down in minor issues and moves forward with an open mind,” he added.
Oli told the newly sworn-in Central Committee members to play a leading role, establish themselves as ideal individuals in society, abandon improper conduct, and demonstrate integrity, discipline, communist decorum and humility.
