KATHMANDU: Two people have been rescued alive from a tunnel at the Trishuli-3A hydropower project, 10 days after the devastating Bhotekoshi River flood.
The two have been identified as Sanjay Sah and Kabir Maharjan.
A joint rescue team from the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police rescued them from the tunnel on Friday morning.
The rescue operation was challenging due to extensive damage to the tunnel area caused by the flood.
Despite adverse weather, difficult conditions inside the tunnel and the risks involved, the security forces have been continuing their efforts to locate and rescue those trapped inside.
