DHADING: A joint team of the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal and Nepal Police has detained 29 people for breaking open a bank safe that had been swept away by a river in Dhading.
The vault was reportedly carried downstream by the river and later found in the district.
The 29 people were taken into custody after they were found attempting to break open the safe.
Further details about the safe and its owner were not immediately available.
Branch offices of several banks in Nuwakot and Rasuwa were swept away by Wednesday morning’s flood in Bhotekoshi River.
Several bank staff are still unaccounted for.
