Five new cars launched at NADA Auto Show

KATHMANDU: The 2026 NADA Auto Show kicked off in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The six-day event has brought together 53 vehicle brands and 70 auto parts and service companies under one roof.

Here are five notable new launches at this year’s auto show:

Tata Sierra EV

Sipradi Trading has unveiled the Tata Sierra EV at the Auto Show.

The company has not yet announced its official price and is currently accepting bookings. It has told customers that deliveries will begin around the Dashain festival.

The Sierra EV is being offered in Nepal with a 75 kWh battery pack. The company claims that the SUV offers a range of up to 665 kilometers and that it can gain up to 263 kilometers of range with 15 minutes of charging.

The Sierra EV sits between the compact Nexon EV and the Harrier EV in Tata’s electric vehicle lineup in India.

Nevo Q05

MAW Vriddhi, the authorized distributor of Changan vehicles in Nepal, has launched the Nevo Q05 in two variants in the Nepali market.

The Max variant is priced at Rs 4.699 million, while the Ultra variant costs Rs 4.999 million. These are the introductory prices for the NADA Auto Show, according to the company.

After the show, the prices of the compact crossover will increase to Rs 4.899 million for the Max and Rs 5.199 million for the Ultra variant.

Skywell BE 11

L.R.R. Motors, the authorized distributor of Skywell in Nepal, has launched the BE 11 EV in two variants.

Under the NADA Auto Show offer, the 410 Luxury variant is priced at Rs 4.699 million, while the 520 Luxury variant costs Rs 5.999 million.

The 520-km variant of BE 11 comes with a 71.98 kWh NMC battery pack, while the 410-km version is equipped with a 51.91 kWh LFP battery.

Both variants feature a 150 kW motor. The company says the battery can be charged to 70% in 35 minutes using a DC fast charger.

Avatr 07

MAW Vriddhi, the authorized distributor of Avatr in Nepal, has unveiled the Avatr 07 at the auto show.

The company has introduced two variants of the car priced at Rs 22 million and Rs 23 million, respectively.

The rear-wheel-drive SUV is powered by an 82.16 kWh battery and a 190 kW motor.

The Avatr 07 measures 4,825 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm.

Dongfeng eπ 007

MAW Vriddhi, the authorized distributor of Dongfeng in Nepal, has launched the Dongfeng eπ 007 at the Auto Show.

The electric sedan is priced at Rs 5.999 million and comes with a 160 kW motor producing up to 310 Nm of torque.

The company claims the eπ 007 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.

The sedan is equipped with a 56.83 kWh LFP battery and offers a claimed 530-km CLTC range on a full charge. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in 26 minutes, according to the company.
