KATHMANDU: Former Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana has applied to the Election Commission for the registration of the Jaya Nepal Party (JNP).
Rana reached the EC on Friday to register his party.
According to Rana, he has applied for the registration of the Jaya Nepal Party with a 79-member Central Committee.
Rana has proposed a triangle as the party’s election symbol.
Last week, Rana forged an understanding with controversial businessperson Durga Prasai to form the party. Prasai was to be the supreme leader of the party.
However, Prasai did not accompany Rana for the registration of the new party on Friday.
