KATHMANDU: Three Nepalis died when a bus carrying Nepali pilgrims met with an accident in Koderma district of India’s Jharkhand state on Friday.
According to Indian news agency PTI, the bus rammed into a stationary truck at Pokhradin at around 4:30 am while it was en route to Nepal via Rajgir of Bihar.
“The bus was carrying 45 pilgrims from Rautahat, who were returning after offering prayers at Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar and Basukinath Dham in Dumkaa,” PTI quoted Satgawan police station in-charge Bablu Kumar as saying.
One of the deceased has been identified as Shivam Kumar (10), according to the Indian news agency. The identity of the other two adults has yet to be ascertained.
Ten others are injured in the accident, PTI said.
