KATHMANDU: The Special Court has ordered the release of Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki on bail of Rs 1.5 million.
A division bench of Special Court Judges Narayan Prasad Paudel, Dilli Ratna Shrestha and Umesh Koirala issued the order.
Karki had been accused of corruption for allegedly granting tax exemptions during the construction of Pokhara International Airport.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against him, seeking recovery of Rs 3.62 billion.
