KATHMANDU: Prices of petroleum products have gone up in the domestic market.
Issuing a statement on Sunday night, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) said it had raised the prices of petrol by Rs 3 per liter and diesel/kerosene by Rs 5 per liter.
With the fresh adjustment, petrol, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 200 per liter each in cities like Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara.
The NOC has also raised the price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) by Rs 20 per liter for domestic carriers and $131 per kiloliter for international carriers. ATF will now cost $1,697 per kiloliter at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), however, has been kept unchanged at Rs 2,060 per cylinder (14.2 kg)
NOC said in the statement that it raised the prices of petroleum products in line with the new price rates forwarded by its sole supplier — the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
