KATHMANDU: The Special Court has allowed the Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DoMLI) to keep CPN-UML Vice Chairperson Bishnu Poudel in custody for three more days.
A division bench of Special Court Judges Narayan Prasad Poudel and Umesh Koirala on Monday allowed investigators an additional three days to continue their probe into Poudel.
This marks the fifth extension of Poudel’s remand.
The Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DoMLI), which is investigating Poudel on allegations of illegally amassing wealth, had sought an extension of remand, arguing that the investigation has not yet been completed.
Poudel was arrested in Surkhet on June 22.
