KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal is leaving for a three-day official visit to India on Friday.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Khanal is visiting India at the invitation of Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar from June 5 to 7.
During the visit, Minister Khanal will hold bilateral talks with his Indian counterpart Jaishankar in New Delhi.
According to the ministry, the discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation in areas such as trade, connectivity, energy trade and people-to-people relations.
The ministry has described the visit as a continuation of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries.
President of Rastriya Swatantra Party RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, is returning from his five-day visit to India on Friday. Lamichhane left for India on Monday at the invitation of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
