KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane met Indian Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Shah congratulated Lamichhane on what he described as the RSP’s unprecedented success and historic electoral victory. He also extended India’s best wishes for the success of the new government.
The two leaders discussed Nepal-India relations and reaffirmed their commitment to working together to further strengthen the longstanding and special ties between the two neighbouring countries.
Lamichhane, who is on a five-day visit to India at the invitation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), earlier met Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and the BJP’s National President Nitin Nabin.
