KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said that the government will study and implement reports related to all past movements and incidents.
Responding to a question raised by Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Arjun Narsingh KC about when the Human Rights Commission (NHRC) report on last September’s protest would be made public and implemented, Prime Minister Shah said the government will study all reports and implement them. “The NHRC has submitted on many issues and incidents, not only on last September’s protest. The government will study all those reports and implement them,” he said.
Earlier, the prime minister had suddenly stood at the rostrum to respond, prompting objections from opposition parties, including the CPN-UML and the Nepali Communist Party (NC).
However, KC argued that the prime minister is allowed to respond even outside the formal rules. He also reminded that the prime minister should take part again through the regular procedural process outlined in the parliamentary rules.
