Over 4,000 benefit from KMC’s late-evening bus service in a week

KATHMANDU: More than 4,000 passengers benefited from the late-evening bus service launched by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) in cooperation with Sajaha Yatayat.

Acting Mayor of KMC Sunita Dangol share that data in a social media post on Thursday evening, adding that Kathmandu is slowly becoming a city that moves with its people.

A total of 4,023 people benefited from the service that operates from 8 pm to 11 pm everyday.

The buses operate on two routes. The first route will start from Lagankhel and pass through Jawalakhel, Thapathali, Shahidgate, Lainchaur, Maharajgunj and Budhanilkantha, before returning along the same route.

Similarly, the second route will start from Tribhuvan International Airport and pass through Baneshwar, Thapathali, Tripureshwar, Kalimati, Kalanki, Satungal and Thankot, before returning along the same route.

According to KMC, all buses are equipped with CCTV cameras, and City Police personnel will be deployed on board to ensure passenger safety.
