KATHMANDU: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapur arrived in Nepal on a three-day visit on Monday.
Kapur is the first high-level diplomat to visit Nepal since the formation of the government led by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
During his stay, Assistant Secretary Kapur is scheduled to hold high-level meetings. He is scheduled to meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal and Minister for Finance Swarnim Wagle, among others.
According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, Kapur is also engaging with business leaders and cultural experts to further strengthen the US-Nepal partnership.
