President Paudel confident govt will deliver result-oriented performance

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has expressed confidence that the government will deliver result-oriented performance in line with the aspirations, sentiments, and demands expressed by the Nepali people through youth-led movements.

Addressing a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, President Paudel said he believes the current government will work effectively to fulfill public expectations, including accountable and transparent governance, efficient service delivery, the end of corruption, and the establishment of good governance.

He added that the formation of a new government following the elections has sent a clear message that the younger generation is developing leadership within the federal democratic republican system.

The President also said the parliament must enact citizen-centric and welfare-oriented laws to meet public aspirations. He expressed confidence that the government will ensure the effective implementation of such laws in accordance with their spirit and intent. He further stated that only the delivery of swift, independent, and impartial justice by the judiciary would truly honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for change.

President Paudel also expressed confidence that the government will leave no stone unturned in improving service delivery by eliminating delays and irregularities within state mechanisms.
