KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the schedules for two ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) League 2 tri-series involving Nepal, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Nepal, Scotland, and the USA.
According to CAN, the first tri-series with Oman and the UAE will be played in Kathmandu from April 25 to May 5.
As per the tri-series schedule, Nepal will face the UAE on April 25 and May 1, while their matches against Oman are set for April 29 and May 5. Similarly, Oman and the UAE will meet on April 27 and May 3.
The tri-series was originally scheduled for March 10–20. It was postponed due to escalating conflicts in West Asia.

Similarly, Nepal’s second tri-series with Scotland and the US will be played on May 12-22. Nepal will take on Scotland on May 12 and May 18, while they will play against the US on May 16 and May 22. Likewise, the US and Scotland will meet on May 14 and May 20.
All matches will take place at the TU International Cricket Stadium.
Nepal are currently seventh on the points WCL League 2 point table with 12 points from 20 matches, while the UAE are eighth with 10 points from 20 matches. Oman are fourth with 27 points from 22 matches. The US are at the top of the table with 36 points from 24 matches, while Scotland are second with 32 points from 26 matches.
Each of the eight teams of the WCL League 2 play a total of 36 matches across nine tri-series in the 2024-2026 cycle. The top four teams at the end of League 2 will qualify directly for the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
