KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has finalized four names to represent the party in the House of Representatives under the proportional representation (PR) system.
A meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee held on Sunday decided to pick Bharat Giri (male) and Khusbu Oli (female) from the Khas Arya cluster, Tahir Ali (male) from the Muslim cluster, and Saraswati Lama (female) from the Indigenous Nationality cluster.
The RPP won one seat under the PR system, while it met the 3% threshold to be eligible for national party status and PR seats. The party won four seats under the PR system.
RPP had won 14 seats in the lower house in the 2022 elections.
