KATHMANDU: The high-level investigation commission formed to probe the incidents of September 8 and 9 is preparing to submit its report with recommendations after completing its inquiry.
After nearly five months of investigation, the commission is preparing to present its report to the government this week, according to state-owned Gorkhapatra daily.
The government had formed the probe commission on September 21 under the leadership of former Judge Gauri Bahadur Karki to investigate the loss of life and property during the Gen Z protests of September 8 and 9 and recommend action against all those involved.
Former Additional Inspector General (AIG) of the Nepal Police, Bigyan Raj Sharma, and legal expert Bishweshwar Prasad Bhandari are members of the commission.
The Gen Z protests claimed 76 lives and caused losses worth billions of rupees to public and private property.
