We won’t form any alliance for the election: NC

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has made it clear that it will not form any electoral alliances with other parties ahead of the upcoming election.

Speaking at a press conference held on Thursday at the party office in Sanepa, party Spokesperson Devaraj Chalise said that the party would not enter into any alliances or seat-sharing arrangements for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

“We have already fielded candidates in all 165 constituencies. The culture of alliances created confusion among voters in the past. There won’t be any such alliances this time,” he added.

Chalise also drew the Election Commission’s attention to the use of children in election-related activities. “We are moving forward on the assumption that the election will be held as scheduled on March 5. There appears to be no situation that would require postponing the election,” he added.
