KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Shyam Kumar Ghimire has said that discussions and talks among party leaders to resolve disputes surrounding the special general convention are progressing positively.
Speaking to journalists at the party’s central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, Ghimire said that discussions among party leaders to resolve the disputes are ongoing. Talks are ongoing. We are confident that these discussions will take shape,” he said. “We hope to reach a consensus before the morning.”
The special general convention, meanwhile, is underway at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu.
The party is clearly divided along two lines, supporting the special convention and those opposing it.
