KATHMANDU: Four people died in a road accident in Baitadi district on Monday.
According to the District Police Office, Baitadi, a jeep heading from Motinagar in Surnaya-6 of Baitadi to Dadeldhura met with an accident at Sadighati in Patan-8 at around 11 am on Monday. Police say the ill-fated vehicle fell some 300 metres off the road.
The deceased have been identified as Ishant Bohara (24), Bhandev Bhatta (29), and Basanti Ayer of Sigas-1 of Baitadi, and Rakesh Katwal (13) of Alital-3 of Dadeldhura.
Seven others were injured in the accident. The injured are receiving treatment at Dadeldhura District Hospital.
