KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has dismissed a writ petition filed against the inquiry commission probing the incidents of September 8 and 9.
A full bench of Justices Manoj Kumar Sharma, Nahakul Subedi, and Shrikant Paudel dismissed the petition on Friday.
Earlier, the top court had issued a show-cause notice in the name of the defendants.
Advocate Bipin Dhakal had filed the writ petition against the commission.
With the dismissal of the petition, questions surrounding the commission’s legality have been settled.
The commission, which is led by former Judge Gauri Bahadur Karki, has former AIG of Nepal Police Bigyan Raj Sharma and legal expert Bishweswhar Prasad Bhandari as members.
