KATHMANDU: The inquiry commission formed to investigate the incidents of September 8 and 9 has lifted travel restrictions imposed on two former and one serving government officials.
According to the commission, the restrictions have been lifted on former Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadee, former Inspector General of Nepal Police Chandra Kuber Khapung, and former Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Chhabilal Rijal.
Duwadee and Khapung have already retired from government service.
All these officials were under the scope of the investigation.
The commission had earlier barred them from traveling abroad and from leaving the Kathmandu Valley without its approval. It said the restrictions were lifted after their statements had been recorded.
