KATHMANDU: A newly constructed building of Shree Diding Basic School in Sankhuwasabha district was jointly inaugurated on Thursday.
The school building, located in Chichila Rural Municipality–3, was inaugurated jointly by Basist Nandan, First Secretary at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, and Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, Chairperson of Chichila Rural Municipality, according to a statement issued by the embassy.
The embassy had undertaken the construction of the school building and allied facilities as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP).
Established in 1962, Shree Diding Basic School provides education from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to Grade 5.
On the occasion, local representatives, school management, and other stakeholders appreciated the support extended by the Government of India. They added that the new infrastructure would help enhance the quality of education.
