KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called an all-party meeting on Friday to discuss preparations and the overall environment for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.
The meeting will begin at 4 pm at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, according to PM’s press coordinator Ram Bahadur Rawal.
Top leaders from major parties — the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) — will attend the meeting.
Similarly, officials from the Election Commission and heads of security agencies have also been invited.
Rawal said the meeting will hold detailed discussions on election preparations, security arrangements, enforcement of the code of conduct, challenges to creating a fair election environment, and coordination among agencies.
