T20 World Cup: Nepal drawn alongside England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy

KATHMANDU: Nepal has been drawn alongside two-time champions England and the West Indies, as well as Bangladesh and Italy in Group C of the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup.

The draw for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup, to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, was announced in Mumbai on Tuesday evening.

The 2026 edition will mark Nepal’s third appearance at the global tournament, following their participations in 2014 and 2024.

Hosts India headline Group A alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, the United States, the Netherlands and Namibia. Group B features Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Oman, while Group D brings together New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada and the UAE.

Nepal will open their campaign against England in Mumbai on February 8. They will then play Italy on February 12, the West Indies on February 15 and Bangladesh on February 17.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Eight stage.
