POKHARA: The District Police Office, Kaski, has arrested a minor with a Chinese-made Type-54 pistol in his possession.
According to police, the 16-year-old, who lives in a rented room in Pokhara-4, was arrested while authorities were investigating those involved in vandalism and arson at the District Police Office and its subordinate stations during the Gen Z protests on September 9.
Kaski police Spokesperson, DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, said that the pistol sans magazine was under the ownership of Ward Police Office, Bagar.
Basnet added that the Kaski District Court has granted a five-day extension of custody for the minor for further investigation under charges related to criminal disturbance.
