KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the local administrations of districts that are not affected by the recent disasters and are not involved in rescue or relief operations to resume public services.
In a circular sent to all 77 District Administration Offices on Sunday, the ministry instructed local authorities to ensure the smooth operation of regular government services.
The government had earlier announced a two-day public holiday on Sunday and Monday in view of the heavy rains and flooding that caused widespread disruptions in several parts of the country.
With weather conditions improving in many districts, the ministry said services should now return to normal in areas not facing immediate disaster risks.
