KATHMANDU: Two people died in a passenger bus accident in Mahottari on Friday morning.
The accident occurred in front of a school at Khayarmara in Bardibas Municipality–10, Mahottari.
According to police, the deceased have been identified as Chauthai Chaudhary (70) and Prabin Khadka (12). More than a dozen other passengers were injured in the incident.
The bus was heading to Kathmandu from Jhadi Bathan of Sarlahi.
According to District Police Office, Mahottari, the bus traveling at high speed went out of control and crashed at around 7 am.
The injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Bardibas.
