Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal assuming office on Monday.
KATHMANDU: The government has decided to observe three days of national mourning in memory of those who lost their lives during the Gen Z movement.
Newly-appointed Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal took the decision, after assuming office following his swearing in by President Ram Chandra Paudel on Monday.
As a mark of respect, the national flag will be flown at half-mast. Similarly, the government has also decided to provide relief of Rs 100,000 to the families of those injured in the protests.
The government has also decided to provide necessary vehicles for the management of bodies and use helicopters to reach remote areas if needed.
