Attorney General Ramesh Badal
KATHMANDU: Attorney General Ramesh Badal has stepped down.
Badal submitted his resignation to President Ramchandra Poudel on Sunday.
Senior Advocate Badal was appointed Attorney General by KP Sharma Oli on July 17 last year, following the formation of a coalition government of CPN-UML and Nepali Congress.
It is customary for Attorneys General, who are appointed on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, to submit their resignation once a new Prime Minister takes office.
