KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army has recovered Rs 3.37 million from individuals involved in looting in the Gausala-Chabahil-Bouddha area of Kathmandu.
In addition, the army personnel also seized 23 firearms from different parts of Kathmandu and eight from Pokhara along with magazines and ammunition.
The Nepal Army also said that three fire engines are being used to manage ongoing arson incidents.
According to the latest security update of the army, 27 individuals engaged in destructive, anarchic and violent activities—including looting, arson and causing harm to people and property—have been arrested from different parts of the country as of 10 am on Wednesday.
Similarly, 23 security personnel and three civilians have been treated at military hospitals for injuries sustained during these operations.
