KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife, Arzu Rana Deuba, have been attacked.
Protesters entered their residence in Budhanilkantha on Tuesday and assaulted the couple. Video clips shared on different social media platforms show both of them injured.
Arzu was the Minister for Foreign Affairs in the government led by KP Sharma Oli who resigned earlier on Tuesday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said looting also took place inside the Deuba residence.
The injured couple has been taken to a hospital for treatment.
